Latest 3D Filmmaking Technology and Equipment by STEREOTEC Focus of Two Post-NAB Workshops at Radiant Images April 21st and 23rd
The latest 3D filmmaking technology and equipment will be the focus of a free post-NAB workshop presented by leading 3D equipment manufacturer STEREOTEC on two dates – April 21 and April 23 – at Radiant Images in Los Angeles.
The daylong workshops, “How to Create 3D Without Compromising Speed or Budget”, will guide motion picture professionals through the artistic opportunities, technical requirements and newest options for 3D productions of feature films, broadcast, commercials or documentaries.
Attendees have their choice of workshops on Saturday, April 21, or Monday, April 23 at Radiant Images. Both are scheduled from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and admission is free of charge. RSVP by April 20 via email to firstname.lastname@example.org email@example.com or by phone at (323) 737-1314.
The workshops will led by Florian Maier, one of the world’s leading stereographers (lead stereographer on films including Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters and Vicky and the Treasure of the Gods) and 3D pioneer who founded STEREOTEC in Germany in 1997.
Maier and his crew will focus on what is important on a 3D project, how to use 3D rigs with auto-alignment functionality, and about pre- and post-production issues with 3D. Attendees will view never-seen-before making-of footage.
The STEREOTEC crew will be arriving at Radiant Images fresh off the 2012 NAB Show (Booth C8746), where they showcased a new state-of-the-art steadycam rig called the Light Weight Rig; auto-alignment solutions with its revolutionary Mid Size Rig; and introduced the new STEREOTEC Nano Rig, the smallest professional mirror rig with two small chip cameras designed for the tightest spaces.
The STEREOTEC rigs are available for rental through Radiant Images, a leading L.A. rental house and digital cinema innovator that specializes in finding creative solutions to help filmmakers achieve their vision.
